Open from 10am until 7pm The Crandon Park Beach and Family Amusement Center currently features a historic carousel, a dolphin-shaped fountain, an old-fashion roller rink and tons of exciting marine shaped beachfront sculptures. A birthday picnic shelter is also available for rental within the Amusement Area, providing Miami car rental customers with the perfect place to host an upcoming event or celebration. Beach facilities at the park include private changing rooms, showers, on-duty lifeguards, concession stands and a waterside playground. (Lifeguards patrol the waterside from the beach’s 13 towers between 9am and 7pm April through October and 9am to 5pm during winter months). - The Crandon Park Gardens – Over 200 acres of lush green space can be found within the Crandon Park Gardens, which is currently located on the site of the former Miami Zoo. Canoe ride are also offered across one of the lakes in the Central Garden.
